Merry Christmas and Sketch #254

Merry Christmas Y'all!!  Can't believe we are almost at the end of another year and with that my last sketch reveal for Sketches in Thyme.

So for this last sketch by Shawn Lahr I went yet some baseball pics, one they are cute and the paper just happened to be right near by and not covered up with Christmas craftiness ;)

I made a few adjustments using a baseball mitt and stars (both cut with my silhouette-yea for me)
and baseball for journaling spot.  I even suprised myself with how cute it turned out.  The pics are of my super cute nephew Deacon and his first All-Star season as catcher, I think he took it pretty serious too!

Sketches in Thyme #224

Hey ya'll!!  So this is probably the quickest layout I have ever done and mainly because my days have been crazy, I almost missed my debut cause I was a day behind!!

I absolutely love this sketch by Cherie Averell - she is so stinking talented!!

I literally threw (baseball pun- ha) this together in about 30  minutes, but when you have such cute subjects in your pictures it is never hard to find a way to scrap them.  Since we are all about baseball with them around I thought these "game ball" pictures would be perfect to showcase how proud they were receiving these!!

Sketches in Thyme #219

I want to say Happy Fall Ya'll but it is still 90+ degrees here in Alabama!!

So I am back with another great sketch from Sketches in Thyme and you have so many options with this sketch.  You can flip it or use on large picture or whatever fits your theme best.

I just happened to have these pictures of my nephew, Cannon, hitting the ball during fall ball last year so I knew they would work perfect with this sketch.  This fabulous baseball paper is from Paper House Productions and absolutely love it, not only for baseball, but it would work great for 4th of July too!

Finally Back...

I am finally back after a 2 month hiatus...  we have been doing some renovations at our house and it had me out of commission since my scrap room was being stored in the hub's man cave while new floors were going in.  We finally got rid of the nasty carpet that covered our stairs and entire upstairs and put in shiny new laminate and hardwoods.

I also decided to move my scrap room in the process so I could get more room and better lighting.
While I still have a ways to go to get it finished I did manage to find enough space to get my layout done for Sketches in Thyme reveal #204 today.  I also managed to find these pics from my in-laws 50th anniversary last year along with some Authentique paper and here we go...  my first layout in about 2 months!!

Hop on over and get your layout in by the end of the month for a chance at a fabulous prize!!
And I promise to post some pics of my room once I get it finished.

Let's Get Sketchy challenge

And I am back with another layout from my scrappy weekend... this time for Let's Get Sketchy  .
The hubs took these pics during "snowpacolypse" while I was stuck in a hotel after 2 hours of going 5 miles in a freak snow event that pretty much crippled our city.  I found this Echo Park paper that worked fabulously with the red bird and in an effort to use my Silhouette more information cut the snow bird title.

Let's Scrap Sketches April 1st challenge

I am spending the weekend with some of my favorite scrap girlies at a retreat and finally had a chance to complete some sketch challenges.  Let's Scrap Sketches  is one of my favorite sites, and was a part of the DT a few months ago, they always have fabulous sketches to work with.

I love this sketch, there are so many possibilities, I used some Christmas pics and paper that I have been carrying around for  while and think it turned out pretty cute ;)

Back with Sketches in Thyme #185

Hey guys... sorry I have been MIA for a while... had to deal with an unexpected gall bladder surgery and 3 1/2 day hospital stay.  I am finally back to full speed ahead and couldn't be happier!!

Today I have a fabulous sketch from Sketches In Thyme by Brenda Ragsdale, she always has such fabulous sketches!!  She did a double page, but I went with a single page just because I didn't have enough pics to cover a 2 page layout.

We took these pictures last spring on road trip to Auburn to see the gymnastics sectional meet before the National Championships.  It was such a beautiful day, I love when we are able to just up and hit the road!!

You have till the end of the month to use this or any of the other sketches for a chance at a fabulous prize!!
