Sketches in Thyme #405

I do apologize for being a day late, but maybe being at the beach will excuse me ;)

Back with the first sketch of the year - 2020, I really thought we would be flying around in Jetson's cars by now.  Love this sketch by Jenessa, one of our fabulous designers at Sketches in Thyme



This sweet kitty belongs to my daddy, she is very partial to him and will only jump in my lap if he isn't around - funny how cats can be so persnickity with humans.  Found this awesome Doodlebug paper in my stash and love how this turned out!!

Sketches in Thyme - last sketch of the year!!

Can't believe we are here at Christmas and year end - the year just seems to fly by!!  This is my last sketch to work with this year - can't wait to see the new year sketches, the few sneak peaks I have seen are going to be so much fun to work with!!



Really love this sketch - there are so many ways to work with it and it would make an awesome double page layout by adding a reverse layout!!

Seeing as it has finally gotten cold here in Alabama, I decided to think back to warmer days and a quick beach trip we got to take with my cousin and some friends down to 30A.

Happy November!!!  Can we believe it is almost Thanksgiving??!!  This year seems to be flying by!!

I really loved working with this one... made me think outside the box a little, but I found this picture from the hubs 50th birthday and thought that it worked great with the Happy Birthday paper I have been hoarding for several years.

Sketches in Thyme #393

So I am a little late in posting this, but we have a new sketch over at Sketches in Thyme

And as I am still working on wedding pictures, I did this layout showing some of the decor for the wedding.  I was honored that my niece asked me to make the 2 signs, the large window pane was the program for the wedding and the open frame was honoring all the loved ones who aren't  with us anymore :(  and all the flowers were done my the groom's family.

SKETCHES IN THYME #389

Well I would say Happy Fall Ya'll but it ain't anywhere close to fall feeling here Bama!!  Still in the 90's and close to 100 a couple of days this week and I am over it!!!  Give me some cool days with sweaters and pumpkin spice!!!

There is a super cute sketch this week a Sketches in Thyme!!  This is a great way to use all those little scrap pieces up!!


And for those that didn't know I have recently become a Close To My Heart consultant and that is where the fabulous paper came from!!  This is the True Love collection and it is delicious, love the navy and plum color combo!!!

Sketches in Thyme - #385

and I am back again with Sketches in Thyme this week - hope everyone is staying cool as we are in record breaking heat here in Alabama.

We have a great sketch this week from Nadine

And I really hope ya'll don't get tired of seeing wedding photos, but I am working on an album for my niece and trying to get it finished this year ;)

I also went a little outside of my comfort zone and sprayed my paper with some Glimmer Mist, the blue color didn't come out quite like I wanted but it is fun to play with different mediums, especially when I really couldn't find the right paper when I picked this photo

I do need to go back redo my circles, my gold glitter pen was giving me some issues and it is probably time for a new one.

Lets Scrap Sketches - Aug 15th

Welcome to the DOG DAYS of summer here in Alabama.. we have been experiencing some EXTREME heat the past week and I am ready for fall to be here, along with football and pumpkin spice!!

Got another great sketch from Let's Scrap Sketches for the middle of August - I really love the sunburst across the top and this could easily be modified for a single page layout too!!



So I have been working on an album of my niece's wedding, which maybe she will get by her 2nd anniversary ;) but all these sketches have really helped me get a lot of pictures done - I still need to journal, but I think I will use my silhouette to do the writing so I can fit everything into the space.
